The Web We Actually Want
By Bhavin Mandani·June 24, 2026·1 min read
The web got heavier every year while getting worse at its one job: showing you things you want to see.
Less framework, more intention
Not every site needs to be a single-page application. Sometimes a fast page that loads instantly and does one thing well is the most radical thing you can ship.
Respect the reader
- Don't hijack scroll
- Don't autoplay
- Don't beg for notifications before the page has loaded
The web we want is the one that treats attention as something borrowed, not owned.
